Make the world a better Place

Many of us give a little here and there but also many can’t afford to donate anything for a good cause. At least, that is what they expect. It is not that they don’t want to give; they just have enough problems of their own, especially in times like these. We heard it so often: “I couldn’t give more than (e.g. $1) and that is not even enough to feed my own kid for today – it would make no difference”. But that couldn’t be further from the truth! With this website we want to show you how far every single Dollar can go and how much we can improve the world we live in by taking our charitable responsibilities seriously. And the best thing is that we won’t have to sacrifice – giving doesn’t need to be a financial burden. Read about a simple calculation and about our simple plan to change the world.

The main problem, why people think that $1 doesn’t make a difference, is structure. If 1,000 people give $1 to 1,000 different organizations then it will not have a large impact. If the same 1,000 people would give their $1 to the same project, let’s say a missionary in Ethiopia for instance, they can feed a whole village. This website wants to be your guide in concentrating your dollar with many others to one charity or program at a time. Let us give you a humble calculation of what $1 can do; you will be amazed!

According to the U.S. Census Bureau there were about 113 Million Households in the U.S. in 2004. There is no question that many of them already donate a considerable amount of money to charities.

The highest earning 20% of these households had an annual income of $88,000 or more in 2004. If only those 20% of households would give another dollar every week, they could finance good causes with more than $22 Million per week, that’s over a billion per year. Certainly not all of those households would participate but we know that many of those 80% who earn less than $88,000 a year would be willing to give this very affordable donation of about $1 a week. Now sit back and think again. Can you afford about one dollar in seven days? Do you think you can make a difference with a donation that small?

We will show you two programs every month. It will always be one program that helps children and another one that either helps fight diseases, that helps saving our planet, or that helps people in need for example after an earthquake. You give $5 (or more if you like) to one of those programs within that month. That boils down to just a little more than a Dollar per week. Make sure to mention this website so we can get feedback on how well we are doing.  You have no obligation, you can give to one or to both programs, you can stick with the $5 or you can give more, you can skip a week or two but think about it – those 5 dollars won’t hurt you that much! We are talking about close to 17 cents a day – if you save those 17 cents every day by turning of the light when you leave a room and by brushing teeth and shaving without letting the water run for 5 minutes you double your positive impact on this world.

If every member of this website gives to the same program, it definitely makes a big difference, even if the donations are small. Please seriously consider joining us in our effort to make a difference and tell your friends about it, too. We are here to help you doing a good deed without getting financially hurt. We as a group of people with our charitable responsibility in mind are very strong. Do the right thing – especially when it is that easy.

Thank You very much for your time!
